Dear Robin,
Thank you so much for your website.  I actually found it last year and had plans for my first cookie party to take place at the beginning of December, but my daughter became very ill and had to be in the hospital for over a month...right through Christmas.  Needless to say that party was cancelled, (we didn't even have our Christmas until the 12th of January!).  But this year I tried it again...and a success it was!

I invited 6 of my closest girlfriends as well as my mother.  We made it a ladies only party, dress up if you want and bring, as you reccommended, 6 dozen cookies.  The girls had a great time, drinking cider and nibbling on my many appetizers.  My husband on the other hand met with some of the dads and took all the kids to a play center to let them loose!

We also exchanged ornaments by using the ornament left/right switcheroo that you had on your website.  It was great! The only downer was that one of my girlfriends had to cancel as her son had to go to the hospital (I hope that it is not a trend that on my party day someone needs the hospital!)  Her husband did deliver her stuff saying "I do not want another 6 dozen buttertarts in the house...I WANT COOKIES!)  So we exchanged for her and she ended up getting some tarts back (we didn't know that she already had a bunch in the freezer!).

I am now looking for new ideas for next year.  My friends know me as the party person, as we are known for our annual barbecue in the summer and very creative birthday parties...so please keep the ideas rolling...I love to steal, I mean borrow them!
