Candy Giard & Barbara Tomlinson's
1st Cookie Exchange
The Eastern Shore of VA

Hi Robin,

Here are pictures from our first exchange. It was fantastic. Eleven bakers were invited each asked to bake 12 dozen of their cookie. The bakers were asked to use their own creativity in packaging each of their 12 dozen, attaching the recipe cards to the package.

One of the ladies invited could not give a definite answer because she was starting breast cancer treatment, so we asked her to just come and bring punch. Barbara provided her with the punch bowl and recipe. This woman had never made punch before so she brought everything to my house for me to help her. But I had never made punch either! We laughed together the entire time making the punch.

This was a terrific time for me to meet some amazing women that live in my community.

The table was set up with the 12th dozen of each baker's cookie so we could all sample them. Every baker made awesome cookies, some that were traditional favorites of their childhood.

As the bakers arrived, they placed one dozen in each bag lined up on the stairs.

Each bag was personalized with a baker's name.

I also had a table of appetizers which was a popular addition to the exchange.
