2009 was the second time that I had hosted a Cookie Exchange Party and it was another great success. I had a few new people join the group and several more who are very keen to attend in 2010. The party actually started off with some excitement as one of my guests had to cancel at the very last minute as she went into labour. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl a few days later. My friend had already made her biscuits and actually won best tasting cookie!

The girls really outdid themselves! The biscuits were delicious and they looked fantastic. Voting was very hard as everyone had gone to a lot of effort with their baking and presentation. Prizes were won for best looking cooking, best presented cookie, best tasting cooking and best apron.

The cookie recipe book is a favourite with my guests. I've had requests for copies from lots of other people too.

I have already started planning for this year's party and have lots of new ideas including an electronic copy of the recipe book complete with colour photos.
