Bree Moore's 9th Cookie Exchange
Myrtle Beach, SC

Hi Robin!

I am 23 years old and am born and raised in Myrtle Beach, SC. My mom and I have been putting on a Cookie Exchange every Christmas for the past 9 years! We started it my freshmen year in high school and it is now our first year out of college. (well, some are in grad school) My friends start asking me about when the party will be in July!! We always make 3 dozen cookies and have a Chinese ornament exchange. My friends play games for prizes.

The first photo is a shot of all our cookies. My mom has one every year with her friends and we always out decorate our cookies compared to hers!

The next photo is a picture of our fireplace with all the presents for the Chinese Present exchange. It started as an ornament exchange but we now have a $20 limit on gifts. The best present that got stolen this year was a Juicy Couture Monopoly game. We find great deals!!

The reindeer game was a favorite last year. We had teams of 3 that raced to blow up balloons and fill up their panty hose antlers. The first 'reindeer' that ran to me and got a red sticker for their nose was the winner! Loved the photos that came out of this game!

The group photo at the kitchen counter is a photo of all the girls. As we wait for everyone to arrive, we munch on veggies, fruit, spinach dip, ham delights, and of course, our famous Christmas punch! Most of my friends went away to different colleges so it's really good to see everyone and catch up each year.

The last photo of the group is all of us dressed up as Santa's helpers. The theme for the cookie queen this year was the Queen Elf, Whitney! The queens we have had in the past are: Santa Clause (the outfit was all sequins), Christmas Tree (we plugged her into the wall), a present, a wreath, a gingerbread man, a reindeer, and a few other themes.

This is my first year to share our photos with you but we really do have such a fun time! We give away party favors and this year it was monogramed aprons (we had them on in the picture). Other prizes have been ornaments I handpainted with palm trees with christmas lights and monogramed wine glasses. If you need any other information for your site, please email me back. Again, we LOVE having this party and I'm so happy to share our ideas!

Christmas Fun and Cookies,
