Sharlene Salois' First Annual Cookie Swap
December 13, 2009
Pelham, New Hampshire

Our first cookie swap was over a year in the making. Originally scheduled for December 14, 2008, it had to be cancelled because Mother Nature had other plans and hit New Hampshire with the worst ice storm in over 100 years, leaving most of us without electricity for up to 2 weeks. No electricity = no baking, but plenty of time to plan for 2009.

Finally on December 13, 2009, twenty-seven friends dressed in holiday attire with their festively decorated trays of cookies arrived at Sharl's house to swap cookies. After delicious hors d'ouvres and cocktails the much anticipated swap began - raspberry thumbprint cookies, sandies, cranberry white chocolate cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies, anisette cookies, raspberry shortbread cookies just part of the selection.

We even had our own Christmas Elf visit us! This was a fun filled and succuessful cookie swap for all. We are looking forward to December 2010 to our second annual cookie swap with good friends and good cookies.
