Tricia Carter's 3rd Cookie Exchange
Olive Branch, Mississippi

Robin

This was my 3rd annual cookie exchange. The theme this year was Country Christmas. I love having a theme for the party. My husband suprised me the week before the party with your book for my birthday! What a great book!

We had 16 swappers this year and each girl brought 6 dozen cookies. I am the one in the picture with the striped sockes. I made the invitations to look like saloon doors and hand delivered them pony express style.

Everyone was told to wear their best Country attire. On the table display I had Santa driving a wagon and he has captured the Cookie Monster as he was trying to steal all the cookies. Santa had even handcuffed the Cookie Monster!

Some of the food items we enjoyed included Santa face Ritz crackers snacks, snowman cheeseball, taco layer dip, cucumber cranberry slices, sandwich spirals, tuna salad stuffed grape tomatoes, sun dried tomato dip to name a few and several yummy desserts to enjoy too. The favorite drink of the night was the Bourbon slush.

We played some games including a relay race game to put on different items out of a bag, Christmas family feud, guess the number of bows in a container and also decorate a Santa. All the games are so much fun!

First place for Best Cookie Display went to Beth for her Pig cookies, she received a Cookie Queen trophy, 1st place ribbon and a snowflake crown. Best Dressed went to Celia or should I say Willie and her cookie dougnuts, the prize was a snow-woman Diva doll and crown. The winning team of decorate a Santa were given homemade reindeer candy canes made by my boys who are 5 and 7. The winning team of the relay also won a prize.

We finished the evening enjoying all the snacks and drinks and playing the Dirty Santa ornament exhange game. Amazing how everyone ended up stealing the same ornament over and over from people until the game ended. We had such a great night. Every guest left with a brown bag sheriff loot bag and thank you wrapped Hershey bar for coming

Thanks for all your ideas on your website and in your book. Everyone is already looking foward to next year! To see more of my cookie party you can view the pictures here....
