Michelle Gibbs 1st  Cookie Exchange

Hi Robin, I bought your book and love it!! I had my 3rd annual CE and it was a success. The first one was fun, only 6 guests, the second was a flop, only 2 showed after 10 RSVP, and this one was great! I had 13 original RSVP, but 3 canceled and one no showed still, 9 was a great number.

As guests came in, my co-hostess and BFF gave everyone their candy cane necklaces and name tags. The tags had their name and 1 recipe ingredient, duplicated 9 times, so that as the ladies all came and introduced themselves, they exchanged tags for a total of 10 different ingredients.

I had 3 ballot boxes, one for the guess of the mystery recipe, one for cutest socks and one for most creative cookie. After we introduced each other and ate, we had to do the exchange as one woman had to leave early, after that we played stand up, sit down 12 days of Christmas.

It was fun to see them mess up and hear them complain of their voices. Next I passed a tray with 12 holiday items and let them know it was a memory challenge. Then we played tear a tree, that was hilarious! Some made stumps, another woman's tree was so perfect, and she complained she didn't have a star!

Next we played the antlers game, it was a tie game literally and both teams won! Next we played the memory game, no one got them all, and many laughed at what they did and did not remember.

Next I gave our prizes from the games, and the ballot boxes and the first and 10th to RSVP. everyone left with a gift as we tied thank you notes to cookie cutters. it was a success and I cant wait till next year!

Thanks for the great ideas from your book!!

Sincerely,
Michelle Gibbs
