Raquel Enes' Cookie Exchange Invitation

T’was a month before Christmas and all through the rooms,

Drifted the smell of cookies which lifted my gloom

I tip-toed to the kitchen to get a glance,

Where I saw Elisabete and Raquel in their cookie making stance

I watched in wonder as the cookies did appear,

Fresh from the oven as I edged ever so near

I grabbed a cookie and into the other room I ran,

Where everything was decorated for Christmas…so grand!

The appetizers and punch were laid out with care;

I knew the other guests would soon arrive there

Come join us for a cookie exchange party this year,

For good food, good friendship, and for good cheer!

So put on your wackiest Christmas attire and join us for fun

Bring eight (8) dozen baked cookies and if you want…sure…some rum

If you are dressed in the craziest Christmas outfit that day,

You win a prize, so don’t delay!

Pull out your favorite cookie recipe and get ready to conjure up sweet treats

And don’t forget to bring an empty bag for the cookies you get to keep!

Please bring with you 8 dozen cookies – individually packaged in ½ dozen packages

There will be a prize for most creative packaging!

Raquel's Notes:

Hi Robin, I just love your website - and receiving all your emails. It's the highlight of my day - always many points to think about. I have hosted just one cookie exchange - and I LOVED IT!
I got my sister to co-host it with me - she was scared to try it on her own...while I love parties and everything that has to do with them....even the planning process. I have attached the invitation that we used last year (both word and pdf - I'm not sure which is best for you to work with)- it got rave reviews - people loved it! I removed my address and also the driving directions that were in the footer of the invitation - otherwise the invitation is exactly as we sent it. We printed it on a good quality white paper and put it in a simple white envelope decorated with Christmas stickers. (My son helped with that part and loved it!)

Take care and keep up the great work!!
Kind Regards,
Raquel Enes
