Hi Robin,
I had my second cookie exchange party and it was another great success. On
Dec 5th, 2004, 17 girls showed up to swap cookies.
For appetizers I made bite size sandwiches with Christmas tree shaped turkey
slices and star shaped cheddar cheese
of course I used cookie cutters
to make the shapes. I also had the tiny wieners served with ketchup and deli
mustard on the side
I got the great idea from your website, thank you!
The crackers and cheese balls were also a big hit.
Everyone arrived surprisingly on time and ready to swap. We first sat in
a circle and introduced ourselves and the cookie that we brought to exchange.
The girls remembered the game from last year where you match the cookie to
the baker so they really paid lots of attention. Another game that we played
was Pin the Nose on Rudolph, blindfolded. That's right blindfolded! It really
got us up and out of our seats and laughing.
We started the swap late because everyone was having such a great time we
lost track of time. We had 2 winners: For the best cookie presentation the
winner was Elizabeth Lener for her Fig Cookies. For the most festive Christmas
outfit the prize went to Eva Nadaskai.
Robin, Thank you so much for having such a great website! I couldn't have
done it without you. The ideas that you have inspire me to have a fun day
with my friends. I hope my 3rd annual cookie exchange party next year will
turn out to be just as wonderful as this year.
Warm wishes,
