Hi Robin!
December 11th, 2005 I held my 2nd Cookie Exchange. There were 12 women
in attendance and one who couldn't be here sent her cookies to be exchanged
for her.
My buffet included:
Hot pepper Queso dip with tortillas
Cocktail wieners in a hot barbecue/brown sugar sauce
Veggie platter with dip
And a platter of cheese, pepperoni and dip
Hot spiced cider along with various other drinks (coffee, soda, etc.)
After about 45 minutes of chatting, we played the left/right game from
your web-site using Old World Santa ornaments for everyone as the gifts.
I also held a raffle that I found on your website using points (1 point for
holiday attire, 2 points for putting cookies on a holiday platter, etc.)
I had a basket of goodies that I let all the winners pick from. My sister
in law embroidered "Cindy's 2nd Cookie Swap" on waffle weave hand towels
that she had also put gingerbread men and mixing bowls/spoons on as well.
After the food and games, we started the swap.I asked everyone to bring
7 dozen cookies. I also gave gifts for Most Creative Cookie-and ended up
giving out 3 of those because the ladies did such a great job this year!
My 6 yr. old son wants me to have a Kids Cookie Swap next year. I think
I might just take him up on it!
Thank you so much for such a great website--all the information and
ideas for my party I have gotten from you and the wonderful people who visit
your site!
Happy Holidays,
Cindy DeForest
