Hi Robin,
I held my 3rd cookie exchange party on Dec 4th and 14 girls attended.
Wow, I thought some of the girls would slowly wither away, but I was wrong.
They had just as much enthusiasm as the last exchange. This year they arrived
early! I still hadn't finished the appetizers.
I made the tiny wieners with ketchup and deli mustard back by popular
demands. Spring cucumber dill sandwiches
they were a perfect snack since
it was a 80 degree warm spring-like day. I also had cheese puffs and mini
quiches that disappeared very quickly
I think I will be serving them
next year as well
yummy and easy to prepare.
Once everybody arrived we sat in a circle and introduced ourselves and
the cookie that we brought to be exchanged (this became our traditional opening
game). Again the girls were paying so much attention to whom brought which
cookie for the game
I forgot to tell them I had a new game that we would
play. The new game is called Pass the Gift. We passed around
a wrapped gift following the instructions of a cute poem. At the end Eva
Szilagyi was the lucky one who won the right to open the package, which was
a wonderful cookie book with hundreds of recipes.
After the game we had time to enjoy each others company. We were chatting,
eating, drinking, and having a good time. Later we exchanged our cookies.
I think this year by far we had the best presentations.
The winners were:
For Best Cookie Presentation
Nicole Stepanian - Double Chocolate Rebels
Renee Scheer - Scandinavian Chocolate Crisps
Mia Jenei - Pina Colada Spritz
For Most Difficult Cookie to Make
Lori Hanson Rosettes
For Most Festive Outfit
Marianna Kovacs
Another great cookie party!!! The girls and I can hardly wait for the
next one. Robin, lots of thanks go out to you and your website.
Until next year
warmest wishes!!!
