Amy Van Dyke's
1st Cookie Exchange
Hi Robin! I have just spent almost two hours looking at your website
and have had so much fun. Yesterday, I hosted my first annual Christmas Cookie
and Ornament Exchange and it was so fabulous! So fabulous, in fact, that
I forgot to take pictures!
I had 19 women and we exchanged 3 dozen cookies (will do 6 dozen next
year, although I had so many left over I will be taking them to a shelter)
and each guest brought an ornament.
I served my famous Tex-Mex Chili over Corn Pudding, topped with sour cream,
chives and shredded cheddar, along with soda. A fun treat was having my little
sister who works at Starbucks make Peppermint Mochas on my espresso machine
for everybody!
I gave away an adorable Snowman cookie jar for the Hostess Choice favorite
cookie prize (mini Chocolate Crinkles), which was a fun suprise that I didn't
tell anybody about.
Your effort that you have put into your website is admirable, and next
year, I hope to send pictures of my party for you to publish!
And, as a Personal Chef, reading all of the menus has been inspiring! I always
know that my friends will come to my parties because they know they will
be eating well!
Hope your house plans are coming together well, and I look forward
to all of the posts for this years exchanges!!
Merry Christmas!
