Carla Wells'
3rd Cookie
Exchange
Somerset, KY
Hi, Robin! I just finished my 3rd Annual Cookie Exchange! We had so
much fun! Thank you again for your site...it's so much help!
I'll attach some photos for you to look at and hopefully post on your
site. My guests thought it was really cool that their picture might be on
the worldwide web!! Ha!
This year I did my exchange on a Sunday afternoon (the last two years
I did a weekday evening), and it worked out really well. I served a light
lunch: chicken salad and egg salad tea sandwiched, Parmesan Cheese Twists,
Black Bean Quinoa Salad w/ Chips, and Vegetable Pizza. I also had a small
chocolate fountain with pretzels, fruit, cookies, brownies, marshmallows
etc. for dipping. This was a BIG HIT!! I also had spiced coffee and soft
drinks available.
I had 14 girls, including myself, to attend this year...the number
keeps growing each year!!! All the guests voted to determine whose cookie
was "The Most Delicious" and whose was "The Most Creative". The prize was
an embroidered apron with the coordinating phrase and a gingerbread man.
Very Cute!! The judging was difficult this year...there were so many delicious
and creative cookies to choose from! We actually had to break a 3-way tie
to decide on the most creative!
Thanks again! I can't wait to see the pictures of other exchanges this
year!
