Beth Wilmart's
2nd Annual Cookie
Exchange
Port Townsend, WA
Hi Robin,
Here are pictures from my second annual Holiday Cookie Exchange, held
on Sunday December 11, 2005. We had 15 participants and one guest, and no
duplicates on the cookies. The party was in the late afternoon, so I served
hot and cold appetizers, coffee, eggnog and wine.
I had a prize to give away, but I wasn't sure what we should vote on since
we did not taste the cookies at the party. I left it up to each guest to
decide which cookie should win a prize. I numbered each cookie type, and
we all voted, including an explanation of why it should win. The runaway
winner got 8 votes -- mostly for the lovely presentation. You can see them
on the far left of the picture, in the back. They were apricot-filled crescents
dipped in chocolate and nuts. The prize was well-deserved -- they were
delicious.
Thank you for posting the pictures on your website. I included a link
to last year's party photos with my invite this year. One person said she
made the same cookie again this year because it "looked so cute in the picture
on the website."
Until next year,
Beth Wilmart
