On Friday, December 8th I hosted my 4th Cookie Exchange. I had over
30 women participate. This year the cookies were fabulous!
We played the Left/Right game and the Dirty Santa Game. We a wrapped
gift and exchange and steal the gifts. I served appetizers along with green
apple martinis; frozen drinks of cosmos; and wine and also apple cider
Santa Claus made a surprise visit and each guest sat on Santa's lap
and received a wrapped gift.
I made up bags of Reindeer Food and everyone thought it was a cute
idea.
In this year's Recipe Cookbooks, I wrote a little sentence about the
baker on her recipe. Next year I am going to put a picture of each of the
bakers right on their recipe.
We sing Christmas Carols and the favorite is the 12 Days of Christmas.
We stand up and sing the day of the month of our birthday. People are getting
their days confused which makes it fun.
The party is lots of work, but I love it. I plan all year for it! I
make up the invitations in the summer, wrap the Santa gifts in October, and
have everyones recipes for the Cookbook by early November. The guests say
the Exchange is how they start their holidays.
Thank you for all the help! I love your site! I have attached a few
pictures.
Sincerely,
Jeanne Anzalone, Hostess |
