Hi Robin!
I just want to say how much I have enjoyed your website. On Sunday,
December 10, 2006 I hosted my 3rd annual cookie exchange and what a turn
out I had with 21 ladies! Each year keeps getting bigger and bigger and the
displays; I was so impressed at how much time and creativity these girls
have put into making their displays. Lets just say, I was
speechless.
We played the left/right game, gift wrap take 2, Christmas song quiz
& for the fist time we had a gift exchange. I also have raffle tickets
that they can earn when they arrive, and once they have them they cannot
say the word cookie or their tickets can be taken away. (Lets
just say the tickets get passed around quickly) J This year, I let the ladies
be the judges of the best cookie display by voting. It went very well with
a tie between 2 displays. I then had my husband and his friends be the tie
breakers.
I served meatballs, shrimp dip, buffalo chicken dip with chips, veggies
with spinach dip, cheese & crackers, tacos (I know Im forgetting
something) and a slushy holiday fruit punch. The girls are already requesting
the punch for next year
.
I also made each guest a cookie book with a letter for my
bakers from me, along with a mug with coco mix and a candle. (I have
already purchased my gifts for 2007 exchange)
I wanted to share some pictures for you and the rest of the cookie
exchange world all to show what a great time we had! It doesnt matter
how much work it may be to prepare for, its all worth it to me to see
everyone smiling and enjoying themselves. I love every bit of it & want
to thank you for sharing your memories and ideas!
