Hi Robin!
Attached are a few photos from my 6th Annual Cookie Exchange which was held
on December 9, 2006. There were 15 of us in attendance again this year and
I forgot to snap a group picture due to the fun of trying to include a game.
I had everyone bring an ornament to play the "Right Left Christmas Gift
(Ornament) Exchange" -- everyone had a blast trying to follow the directions
and see where the ornament that they wanted would end up -- it turned out
that the ornaments ended up two people to the left from where they started!
I served munchies such as Sweet and Sour Lit'l Smokies, a Holiday cheese
ball with crackers, Veggies with spinach dip, and a Cranberry upside-down
coffee cake. Despite another sunny Southern California day the hot spiced
cider was a hit as well as the punch and egg nog.
The cookies this year included: Oatmeal Toffee, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon
Oatmeal, Never Stops (because you can't stop eating them!), Rice Krispie
Bars, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, Chocolate-Raspberry Triangles, Triple
Chocolate Nutty Biscotti, Aunt Stella's Butterscotch Prickles (variation),
Pumpkin Fudge, Brownie Symphony, Mrs. Field's Chocolate Chip, Peppermint
Bark (variation), Gingerbread Cookies, and Nutty Oatmeal Scotties.
Everyone went home with a very full tray of cookies and a party favor. This
year was bitter-sweet as it was my last Cookie Exchange Party in California
but I hope to carry on the tradition in our new home -- Colorado!
Thanks again for your wonderful web site where we can read all about the
exciting things you are up to and see pictures from all the other fun Cookie
Exchange Parties going on around the United States!
Sincerely,
