Hi Robin--
I held my 4th exchange this year on December 9,2007.I made the exchange family
style again this year and there were 23 in attendance (10 bakers, 3 husbands
and 10 children. The only bad part of the party was the fact my mom-in-law
passed away this year and couldnt be here to share it with us. She
was always a big part of the party and it was something we enjoyed doing
together. It just wasnt the same without her.
I had a buffet again this year and we had: Ziti and meatballs in sauce, Hot
pepper Queso dip with tortillas, and veggie platter with dip. A platter of
cheese, pepperoni, crackers and dip. BBQ cocktail wieners. I also had various
beverages available.
After the buffet, the adults played the left-right game with gifts I had
bought throughout the year at various stores. Then we let the kids play the
game (with a different story) and I had gifts for all of them as well.
I held a raffle that I found on this website using points (1 point for holiday
attire, 2 points for putting cookies on a holiday platter, etc.) I gave Home
Interior candles as the prize for this game.
I gave out 2 prizes for Most Creative Display-1st prize was a Christmas Cookie
Jar and your Cookie Exchange book. 2nd prize was a Home Interior Jar Candle.
After the food and games, we started the swap. I asked everyone to bring
7 dozen cookies. We had some really great cookies this year.
Ive included some pictures of the cookies. Thanks for all you dothis
site is a great help every year. I hope you had a great exchange we well.
Happy Holidays,
Cindy |
