Dear Robin,
This year I held my 3rd cookie exchange-with much
help from your site- and everyone had a fantastic time! This year's theme
was "Christmas Around the World."
I always host a brunchtime exchange and this year
we had a breakfast strata, french toast casserole, mini quiches, baked brie,
ultimate coffee cake, mimosas, and iced "milk."
I had eight ladies attend this year, and we had 19
different types of cookies! Some of this year's cookies included Banana Nut
Biscotti, Belgian Tuiles, Claypso Cups, Celtic Spirals, Chocolate Lasagna,
Pirouettes, Polvorones, and White-Chocolate Cherry Shortbread. Everyone voted
on their favorite cookie and the winner was Donna's Chocolate Raspberry Sand
Tarts. The best presentation went to Clara who hung her cookies from a
mini-Christmas tree.
I handed out tickets for holiday attire, best cookie
arrangement, favorite cookie, bringing an international cookie, and bringing
a guest. Each lady also brought an ornament to exchange in the left/right
game. We also played a trivia game with questions about different Christmas
traditions from around the world.
I had everyone send me their recipes ahead of time
and I made a recipe book with all the cookie and brunch recipes for everyone
to take home. The back cover was printed with "Merry Christmas" in several
different languages.
I am getting so excited for my next party, I am already
scouring your site for more great ideas. Thank you so much for all the time
and effort you put into your site!
Happy Exchanging!
