Hi Robin,
I held my 3rd annual cookie exchange on Fri. Dec. 5th. It has become bigger
and better every year and that is thanks to your great web site that has
given me most of the ideas.
We do our exchange in pre packaged cookies, 1 dozen per package and everyone
seems to like it that way. The packaging has become very creative over the
past 3 years and makes the "cookie table" look very festive.
We each brought 3 extra cookies for a display plate so that we can admire
everyone's effort but we NEVER sample the cookies at the party.
This year we had 10 ladies and the cookies were exceptionally good and very
pretty looking. I encouraged everyone to come dressed festively and this
year we had several "elves" and "reindeer" that attended. (I am the Minnie
Mouse Santa)
We voted for our favourite dressed one and Cheryl was our winner. I had a
small gift for her efforts. We enjoyed a buffet dinner of various appetizers
and warm cranberry apple cider and a little wine.
We played a few games such as "Don't say cookie" & "Left-Right game"
Unfortunatley, I send all of my boys out of the house during the party so
I never have anyone around to take a group picture. This is always the start
of my Holiday season and I look forward to it every year!
