Robin,
We had our 5th annual cookie exchange this year. As always some new friends
with ole' 14 attended total. We enjoyed all the ole' traditions with a few
new twists. I substituted a playing card Bingo game (see below for directions)
instead of the usual dice game. The new right left games were appreciated.
And we had 1 participant take the words in the invite literally! "a prize
for the most outrageously dressed" You'll see Sylvia in one of the pictures
dressed as the Girl holiday M&M. The other pictures show the group and
the frenzy of the exchange and the cookie display table.

Decks of Card Bingo
Deal out 6 cards to every player, use as many decks as necessary. Then with
a complete separate deck, flip up the top card and say the card name, ex:
Ace of hearts, continue until a participant has turned down 3 of their 6
cards. A bingo! Then have the 1st winner select from a pile of pre-wrapped
gifts, the winner unwraps it, continue playing, the next winner has the
opportunity to steal from a previous winner or take a new gift. The game
continues until everyone has a gift. |
