In December 2008, Natalie hosted her 3rd annual cookie exchange in Sewell,
NJ. There were 9 contributors and 3 junior bakers participating in the
exchange.
The event consisted of great food and lots of fun, as well as the exchange
of cookies and recipes. Being ever mindful that 2008 has been a difficult
year for many, our games were fun as well as civic based.
We played games such as Name That Tune, The Price is
Right, and Family Feud. All points earned by the players
were converted into dollars and donated to two local charities, Philabundance
and Action Aids.
In recognition of the newly elected President, one of the bakers fashioned
her rum balls in the likeness of an American flag with the words "Obama
08".
In previous years, ribbons were earned for presentation, in 2009 Natalie
intends to also add a category for best tasting cookie.
In summary, fun was had by all and we look forward to the next exchange
in 2009.
Happy Baking to All!
