Hi Robin
I have recently found your website for your newsletter and just love
it! I have been hosting a cookie exchange party for 6 or 7 years now. Started
small in my home years ago and I had cookies placed all over the house and
the guests would have to go all over to find them! Was fun!
I give each one a big cookie tray as my present to them and they love
it. Since then it has grown out of my home and now I have it in a clubhouse
and have added a live gingerbread boy and I have raffle prize baskets that
I give away. Their ticket is their recipe card of the cookie they are bringing
and the last prize of the giveaway is ALL the recipe cards in the drawing!
That person goes home with all the recipes. I have painted props of
a giant gingerbread house and my husband makes and serves his appetizers
and I always have a wonderful winter punch for the girls.
My group has grown to over 30 now and I am picky about who gets invited.
I also add crafters to the cookie exchange and they do very well with the
group. So now it is a cookie exchange and craft show!
Lots of fun and I enjoy planning it and looking forward to all the cookie
stories! Some are really funny, some are wild! I just wanted to share with
you my little story and I have included a few pics!
Thanks again for a great newsletter!
