This year I host my 4th Annual Christmas Cookie exchange in our new home
on Lake Scugog in Port Perry.
The weather certainly cooperated this year and we had lots of snow and a
wonderful view of the lake out the dining room window for the Exchange. The
size the group grew and I was surround by family and friends new and
old. This year everyone brought their cookies prepackaged and some were quite
creative. Following the great ideas on Robins website, we played several
games including the Left and right, Christmas trivia and Best Christmas carole
singer! My ears are still ringning.
The afternoon was rounded out with a luncheon that included homemade quiche,
baked brie, smoked salmon and other nibbles. Followed up of course by a sampling
of cookies. We all then headed out to the Port Perry Olde Time Santa Claus
Parade and then the men folk and teenagers joined for an evening dinner and
TONS of fun! It was a great time and I thank all the ladies for their efforts.
To help commemorate the event I published a recipe book that includes
everyones recipes and pictures of the afternoon, parade and evening
event. Cant wait to hold this years event
