Hi Robin!
Another great cookie season has flown by, and my 4th exchange was the biggest
and best yet! The party was on December 15th and this year's theme was "Let
it Snow" (which turned out to be a good theme considering I almost had to
cancel due to the weather.) I only had two cancellations and the other 12
showed up in their jammies, ready to swap!
I gave away Cookie "Dough" that I made up in $1, $2, and $5 which the ladies
received for RSVPing, wearing pjs, winning games, best display, and a special
cookie category.
My special cookie category was the cookie with the most sugar. The winner
had 4 1/2 cups! The girls divided up into teams of three and we did the pantyhose
"antler" game which was hilarious! It was the best part of the party.
I also made Christmas BINGO cards on my computer and we played several games.
At the end of the evening they counted up their "dough" and we had a silent
auction.
I made up gift baskets and prizes for them to bid on. There was a snow day
basket, Christmas breakfast, Christmas movie night, a Christmas CD, candleholder,
and a Cookie Diva apron. I also gave everyone a recipe booklet with all the
cookie recipes and Snowman Soup that I found on your website.
This year's cookies included Butterscotch with Icing, Chocolate Pirouettes,
Cinnamon Sugar Sticks, Coconut Snowballs, Ho-Ho Bars, Jam Shortbreads, Yellow
Snow Cookies (In the photo the sign says "Please eat the yellow snow"), Mini
Pumpkin Pecan Tarts, Snow-Covered Mocha Sprinkles, Outrageous Cookie Bars,
and Snowflake Sugar Cookies.
To snack on I made baked brie, a spinach-artichoke braid, goat cheese and
pancetta pizza, 3 in 1 Italian dip, Christmas salad, chocolate-raspberry
brownie bites, and lemon tartlets. Everyone had such a great time, and I
am already excited about planning next year's swap!
Thanks again for this wonderful resource!
