This is my fifth year doing a Christmas cookie swap. The theme this year
was "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The ladies had such fun designing
and coming up with spectacular ideas for their displays. This year was by
far the most fun and most creative. I was blown away with the creativity
and enthusiasm.
We, of course, always have grand appetizers and this years included: crab
rangoons, pizza cheese ball with crackers, cider, coffee, Christmas teas,
chicken and broccoli braid, and many more. Our games we played were the Reindeer
Antler game, name the carol, and the left right game. The reindeer antler
game was definitely the hit of the party.
We had prizes awarded out to the most creative table display, most festively
dressed (which everyone embelished their Christmas pajamas), and the best
tasting cookie. I passed out a recipe booklet to all the guests with the
cookie recipes we had that day and they took home a felt bag with chex party
mix in it for their thank you gift. Everyone had a wonderful time and I had
several people ask when the next cookie swap will be and what the theme will
be. They are already thinking ahead. Fun was had by all.
