December 5, 2009
I'm the organizer of Saturday Sister from First Baptist Church of Temple
City California. We meet once a month doing our own craft projects and our
December is our 5th annual Cookie Exchange Party. We do the whole thing as
a group effort, brunch and everyone brings something or does something to
get ready for the party. We enjoy the fellowship and the cookies we take
home.
We meet in a large room at the church so we have a lot of room to spread
out and this year we had a Piano player and Violin playing music the whole
time. Which was really nice. We had 25 attend this year and the theme was
Christmas trees and the door prize everyone wanted was the Tree/centerpiece
and cookie mixes. I had cookie tins with personalize labels on them that
said "2009 Saturday Sisters" were given as goodie bags, with tree advent
magnetic calendar.
We did not have games this year just the fellowship and chatting with friends.
I do a sheet of weirder cookie recipes that are made with different things
then what you think a cookie should be made with and this year was cheese
and Jalapenos. I was told with my tree/ornaments for centerpieces and the
door prizes they want to know how I will top this years. But I just know
that your site will come thur. In fact I'm already planning my next year
theme and that gives me 12 months to find the perfect items for door prizes
and goody bags and my centerpieces so I seeing sugar plums dancing in my
head already. Thank you Robin for this great site.
