Jenn's Cookie Party Round 2 was a huge success! My theme was a Pajama
party.
We also did a secret slipper exchange. Everyone was given a size
but didn't know who they bought for until arrival in their favorite Christmas
PJ's!! Everyone loved the theme and got into the spirit. I think they had
more fun shopping for slippers!
14 attended and brought their cookies 'pre-packaged' for easy take
home but also brought samples to share. I think everyone really stepped it
up this year. All cookies were awesome!
We played 'guess what's in the stocking', make a Xmas tree out of
construction paper behind your back (my favorite) and of course the reindeer
game. Everyone was given a new name on a name sticker and a candy cane necklace.
The rule was you were not suppose to use the person's real name. Also gave
prizes for best cookie, best slipper, best PJ's, best display and best
packaging.
*Tip* I just returned from Hobby Lobby and filled my cart with prizes
for next years party at 75% off.
I served the usual favorites. Shrimp Corn chowder, ribbon sandwiches,
meatballs, deviled eggs, veggies with dip, cheese and grapes. Also served
Russian Tea and iced tea along with wine.
Already thinking of next year. I like your guess how many candies
are in the jar! I'll steal that one, thank you! Looking forward to reading
everyone's success and getting more ideas!
Robin, thank you for inspiring me with your website and facebook.
It has become 'the' party of the year!
