Getting it Right
By Lysette Toro-Mays
I start shopping for the holidays RIGHT after Halloween and sometimes
forget who I've bought for. I'm careful to buy the RIGHT Christmas
present for everyone on my list. So this year I decided to WRITE
everything down so I get it RIGHT and no one is LEFT out.
I started to WRITE my list and had a feeling I LEFT someone
out. I called my sister and she said she'd be RIGHT over, first she
had to WRITE a note to her son. She LEFT her house and closed
the door, not realizing she LEFT her car keys on the table. She called
me and I told her I would be RIGHT over.
I LEFT my house RIGHT away, tripped and landed RIGHT in the
bushes. I got up, wiped myself off, and LEFT.
About a mile from my sister's house I noticed a new store on the
RIGHT. I pulled RIGHT into a parking space RIGHT in
front of the store and walked RIGHT in. I spotted the RIGHT
present for my son, bought it and LEFT with it tucked under my
RIGHT arm.
I looked for my keys, thought I had LEFT them in the store and realized
I hadn't. I got in the car, grabbed my list and began to WRITE what
I had bought for my son, when I remembered who I LEFT out. I had to
WRITE it RIGHT away so not to forget.
Hurray! My list was now complete. After all you wouldn't like it if I
LEFT you out, RIGHT?
Oops!! I forgot about my sister, I better get RIGHT over there or
I'll be LEFT off her Christmas list.
