Heather Budwell's 1st
Cookie Exchange

St. Louis, Mo
December 17th, 2004

Hello Robin and friends,

Last night, December 17th, I held the 1st annual Cookie Exchange Christmas party at my house in St. Louis, Mo. It was a huge success! There were 12 women from my church and neighborhood who all came together in the spirit of the holiday and java!

Our appetizers included:

Shrimp & Artichoke dip
Shrimp cocktail
Raspberry & Brie tartlets
Holiday cheese trees
Reindeer Snacks

To drink we had:

Hot Wassail
Holiday punch
Coffee/Tea/Choco
Egg Nog
Water

After about an hour of conversation we played the "Decipher the Canticles of the Yuletide Season" game and the "Who am I" game both from your web-site. I think they did a great job of getting the ladies into the Christmas spirit and mingling mode. I had a prize for the person who got the most correct in the song game and one for the first person to guess who they were in the name game.

After the games we moved into the living room where we began the cookie swap. I had an award for the most creative presentation and that went to Katie Weinberg for her clever butterfly container.

After the swap we moved into the kitchen and made gingerbread birdhouse ornaments. That was tons of fun too!

Overall, I think it was a blast and plan on making this an annual event. Thank you so much for all of your ideas and suggestions. I have attached some photos below...

Happy Holidays,
Heather Budwell

PS. I am the blond holding my baby, Livia, in the red shirt in the group photo;-)
