Chandra Zeisset's
1st Cookie Exchange

Trenton, IL - Tuesday Dec. 14th, 2004

Robin,

Hi! Held my first "Great Christmas Cookie Exchange" last night, December 14th at my home in Trenton, IL.

We had a whopping 27 women attend. It was a great time! My party was a little different... everyone was asked to bring 6 dozen cookies; 1 dozen was for sampling, 1 dozen was for shut-ins (those who are elderly, sick, hospitalized, nursing home, or have lost a loved one), and the other 4 dozen were to take home.

I also had an attendance prize drawing. Being a business owner, I offered one of the attendance prize gift baskets, then three other women business owners donated wonderful Christmas gift baskets too.

We ate cookies and drank, spiced cider, hot chocolate, milk, and soda. The house was full!

The blessing from the whole experience was giving the cookie platters out to the shut-ins. We gave out over 30 platters of Christmas cookies and also a box full of cookies to the teachers in our school district. They all were so happy and thankful!

I had many complements on how this party really put everyone in the Christmas spirit!

Have a Blessed Christmas! Check out more pictures on our church website at: http://www.trentongcbc.org

I have attached a few pictures and the invitation. (Use whatever you want) I am not in any of the pictures.... I was so excited about all the people around the table, I forgot to get in the action of the picture... maybe next year!

PS- Thank you for your website... It is a real blessing. You do awesome work! I own and operate a web design business...I know how much work you spend creating this. Keep up the good work! It is a real blessing!
