1st Cookie Exchange

Middletown, Missouri

-2004

Hi Robin,

I wanted to thank you for your web site! As I began planning our 1st Annual Middletown Baptist Cookie Exchange, I found several helpful hints and ideas from your page. I really enjoyed the pictures and stories of other cookie exchanges. I got my idea for the invitation from you. Thanks.... Keep up the good work!

I held our party on Dec.4, 2004 in the church basement. 3 weeks before, I passed out Candy Cane treat bags with an invitation, Cookie Rules and a Candy Cane cookie. Everyone was so excited and 36 attended! Everyone walked into a candlelit "Winter Wonderland".

Quite a change for our small fellowship hall ! No kids or husbands allowed...... We played the "Everchanging Gift Exchange" and shared cookie stories with lots of laughs as well as filled up on Smokey Bacon Wraps, Christmas Tree Chipotles, Homemade Christmas Cream Mints, Christmas Tree Cheeseballs, Warm Cheesey Bacon Dip in Sourdough Bowl, Parmesan Sausage Rolls, Strawberry Pretzel Salad & Creamy Chocolate Fondue with yummy marshmallow, peanut, cookie stix, pretzel DIPPERS.

We served tea and Strawberry Slush Punch. Everyone went back for seconds! My daughter and a friend served as waitresses for the evening(It was their idea for me to make them Candy Cane aprons!) A dear friend, Shirley Mitschele, also helped me with all the decorating & appetizers.I am already planning for next year! !

I hope you can use our story and pictures. I told the girls all about your site & that we might be on your site, so they will be checking. Thanks so much

Oh by the way, I know you are really busy but if you want to see ALL the pictures please visit our church website at:
